Privacy Policy
Nefi. Effective October 14, 2026.
What Nefi stores
When you mark a sighting, Nefi stores the cloud type, the cloud cover on an eight-part scale, the time of day, the callouts you add, the note, the sky photograph, and the spoken note you record. A spot holds its name and the sightings made from it. A filed atlas page is an image made from one sighting.
These records stay in the app storage on this iPhone. Nefi does not upload photographs, spoken notes, or sighting records to a Nefi server.
Purchases
Puff purchases are processed by Apple. Nefi receives the product identifier and transaction identifier from StoreKit so it can add Puff and avoid counting the same transaction twice. Nefi does not receive your payment card number.
Camera, photos, and microphone
Take photo uses the camera only after you allow it. Choose photo uses the photo library only after you allow it. Save image writes an atlas page into Photos only after you allow adding photos. Record a spoken note uses the microphone only after you allow it. If you decline, that action stops and the sighting stays open.
Notifications
After you tap Continue, Nefi shows the system notification prompt. If spot reminders stay on, Nefi schedules a local notification for one spot. Nefi does not register for remote push from a Nefi server.
Atlas summary
The Atlas summary is read on this iPhone from the records already stored. Nothing is uploaded and no copy is kept anywhere else.
Delete Account
Delete Account in the settings drawer removes types, sightings, spots, callouts, filed pages, spoken notes, photographs, and the Puff still held in the app. Log Out returns to the welcome screen and leaves those records in place.
